Optimise Web is an Edinburgh based internet and software business which provides holistic web and eCommerce sites to positively influence traffic, conversions and profitability by using tech savvy and innovative marketing practices. The company is a small team of software and marketing specialists that have been helping organisations generate online revenue and expand their business and reputation on the web since 2006.

Web Designer / Developer

Our list of clientele keeps growing, and so are we. To keep up with an increase in projects coming in, we are looking for a web designer / developer to join our team and grow with us.

Your duties will include:

  • Communicating with our customers and getting a design brief.
  • Creating wire-frames, mock ups and designs and getting them approved by the client.
  • Coding the design using HTML and CSS. You might have to use jQuery and PHP as and when required.
  • You will conduct cross browser testing and launch the website.

Preferred Skills:

  • Photoshop, Netbeans, Aptana, Dreamweaver, WordPress, Magento, good understanding of Google’s SEO and webmaster guidelines

Preferred Qualities

  • Eager to learn and achieve
  • Can work efficiently, on your own and in a team
  • Be able to communicate design ideas and opinions
